The New Resource Group Team

PS — Not sure where to start? Consider our 25-point NRG Business Review. This is an extensive review of your organization which includes interviews with key personnel, site visits and a thorough review of your operations. Whether you are a small business or a not for profit organization, when we are finished, your organization will have an accurate sense of what it needs to focus on.

Who We Are

The partners at New Resource Group offer a unique way of serving organizations. First, we listen — CAREFULLY — to everything you say, and ALL of your responses to our questions, as there will be a lot of them. We want to understand the goals and dreams of your organization or company.

Then we apply our team resources towards developing a comprehensive plan to achieve these goals. We have decades of experience in working with small businesses and not-for-profits. Part of what makes us unique is that this experience is spread across every possible spectrum — marketing, training, systems creation, graphic design, fundraising, board development, human resources, legal assistance, accounting, social networking, etc. We have skilled and experienced partners who focus their own expertise on your organization, working together towards integrating this expertise into a comprehensive plan.

Lastly, our focus is on building small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. We are a not-for-profit organization ourselves, and as such, are dedicated to helping you — not making a profit for others.

Give us a call or drop us an e-mail. We would be happy to talk — and listen — to you about your organization or company, and how we can help you.

Fundraising

According to the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University, fundraisers are more pessimistic about the current giving environment than they had been since the center began conducting the survey in 1998. In this environment, it is critical that fundraisers do an even better job of stating their case and cultivating donors. We will help you focus and sharpen your message to potential donors, work on innovative methods for reaching these potential donors, and then move donors closer to your organization. The professionals at New Resource Group are experts in every kind of fundraising — special events, annual campaigns, capital campaigns, grants, etc.

Annual Campaigns

How do you get volunteers to enthusiastically help your organization with one of the most effective types of fundraising — Annual Campaigns? We have run dozens of annual campaigns, and will guide you through every step including creating all the forms/paperwork, recruiting volunteers, training volunteers, selecting the best prospects, and cultivating donors to maximize retention.

Special Events

The staff at New Resource Group have written manuals on a wide number of special events, including Annual Dinners, Golf Tournaments, 3-on-3 Basketball Tournaments, Duck Races — and many more. We organize everything so your volunteers can focus on the tasks they are performing the day of the event. We are also very familiar with state gaming laws and will handle that paperwork. As long as the timing or event does not conflict with a current or past client, we can help you maximize the profitability and exposure of your special event!

Grants

There is money out there in grants for most not-for-profits — you just need to know where to look and how to position your organization in the grant application so that you will be seen as the answer to the grant need. At New Resource Group, we can help with both parts of this equation. Let our expert Grant Division talk to you about our experience, and how we can help you find the funds to fulfill your mission!

Accounting

Many accounting firms have the ability to correctly file tax returns, do payroll, and set up software to generate monthly P&L statements. We can too. What makes our accounting expertise different is our ability to not only do the “normal” accounting work, but also identify key numbers and link these numbers with effective marketing and operations plans. As with every other part of New Resource Group, our accounting people work as a part of the rest of the New Resource Team. They will highlight key numbers, and then our operations and marketing team members will determine how to react to these numbers. Everything is done holistically!

Strategic Planning

Does your organization have a strong sense of where it is going? Where it will be five years from now? What the short, middle and long term goals are? Is this vision clearly understood by the key volunteers, and can they articulate it to others? Having a vision for where your organization is going — whether it is a small business or a not for profit — is critical to success. New Resource Group will work with your staff, your volunteers, and your stakeholders to develop this vision, and take steps to insure this is not on a shelf somewhere gathering dust — it is a living, changing tool with benchmarks to guide the organization.

We understand the role of the Board from both sides, and can help you build your Board — and your committees. Photography

As with the rest of your image, your corporate photography needs to represent YOU at your best. Poor photography will degrade any website, brochure or business card and will not provide the professionalism you need to drive your business forward.

While stock photography will work for some purposes, there are many scenarios — such as your headshot, interiors of your office and photographs of your latest product — that MUST be unique. In addition, we also provide digital imaging, photo retouching and restoration. Have a look at our samples (coming soon) and let us know how we can help you with your corporate image.

Public Relations/Communications

Many organizations struggle with visibility, which creates a fundamental problem. If people aren't aware your organization exists, how will they know to donate or attend a program or event?

New Resource Group can help increase awareness of your organization through creating a public relations plan specifically designed for your organization. The plan includes detecting core problems, setting objectives, identifying audiences, developing key messages, establishing communications and media tactics, and creating a schedule for implementing the plan. Some tactics that might be used are establishing an e-newsletter, writing an agency brochure or program flyer, and working with the media to tell your story. We also provide spokesperson training so you can be prepared when the media comes knocking.
